Participant Guidelines
- By submitting an application and participating in the Pok Oi x Old Master Q Hong Kong Charity Run 2025 (the "Event"), participants acknowledge and agree to comply with all rules and regulations established by the Organiser, as well as any temporary arrangements or decisions made by the Organiser. In the event of any accidents, including but not limited to death, injury, or property loss during the Event, participants shall bear full responsibility. The Organiser, co-Organisers, sponsors, and supporting entities shall not be held liable for any compensation or legal responsibility. Furthermore, should an incident result in additional expenses incurred by the Organiser, the participant shall be required to provide reasonable compensation to the Organiser.
- Participants must fully understand the risks and physical demands associated with the Event. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to ensure their physical condition is suitable for participation and capable of completing the Event. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant deemed unsuitable to participate, based on known or suspected circumstances.
- Participants' personal data will be collected and used solely for the purpose of Event registration and will remain strictly confidential.
- Data recorded during the Event, including but not limited to images (videos/photos), audio (video recordings, audio tracks, or other formats), interviews, and other Event-related records, may be used by the Organiser for promotional and marketing purposes.
- All funds raised directly or indirectly through participation in the Pok Oi x Old Master Q Hong Kong Charity Run 2025 must be submitted in full to the Organiser by the specified deadline.
- The Organiser reserves the right to alter or cancel the Event due to weather, force majeure*, or other circumstances beyond the control of the Organiser. In such cases, all donations, including registration fees and additional donations, are non-refundable.
*Force Majeure
Includes and is not limited to the Organiser being unable to perform its obligations or organise or hold the Event due to fire, flood, earthquake, or other severe natural disaster or act of God; or due to protest, riot, civil disobedience, uprising, march, revolt, assembly, demonstration, occupation, commotion, mass gathering, war, insurrection, sabotage, pandemic, epidemic, or terrorist attack or the likelihood of such event or act.
Registration and Important Information
Participants are required to carefully review the following terms and conditions. By submitting a registration application, participants confirm and agree to abide by all rules, terms, and arrangements set forth for the event.
- The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable once the registration is accepted. A confirmation email will be issued within 10 working days upon receipt of the application. Please contact the Organiser promptly if the confirmation email is not received within the specified timeframe.
- Duplicate registrations will be considered as a single registration. Additional registration fees paid will not be refunded and cannot be transferred to other participants or events. Information provided during registration will not be returned.
- All minimum fundraising amounts and donations are non-refundable. The Organiser reserves the right to reject any application if the applicant provides inaccurate information, fails to meet the minimum fundraising requirements, or does not adhere to the proper registration procedure.
- Incomplete or late registration applications will not be accepted. No on-site registrations permitted.
- The Organiser reserves the right to limit or decline any registration application.
- The Organiser reserves the right to contact applicants for clarification or verification of their registration information.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are physically fit and suitable to participate in the event before completing the registration process and attending the event.
Pre-Race Preparation Guidelines
- In support of environmental sustainability, participants are suggested to bring their own reusable bags to collect the race pack.
- Upon receiving the race pack, participants must thoroughly check the contents, including the race bib and timing chip (1 per pack). Please verify that the personal information and event details printed on the bib are accurate. Any discrepancies should be immediately reported to on-site staff for rectification. Participants are responsible for safeguarding the race bib, ensuring it remains undamaged and free from folds or creases to prevent any malfunction of the timing chip. Please note that lost or damaged bibs will not be reissued by the Organiser.
- Participants are advised to assess their physical fitness and ensure they are medically fit to participate in the event. In case of any doubts, please consult a medical professional prior to the race. It is further recommended that participants record their medical history, as well as the name and contact information of an emergency contact person, on the back of the race bib.
- Participants are solely responsible for their personal safety and the security of their belongings during the event. While the Organiser provides General Public Liability Insurance and Group Personal Accident Insurance, participants are encouraged to arrange additional personal accident and property insurance according to their needs.
- To ensure a smooth experience, participants are strongly advised to arrive at the race venue at least 60 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Please allow ample time to arrive at the starting point.
Race Day
- Participants may approach Information Desk if require assistance or information on race day.

- To ensure safety, participants are advised to complete an adequate warm-up routine before the race to prevent injuries.
- Water stations, baggage storage areas, and first aid stations will be available.
- Participants may deposit personal belongings in the designated baggage storage area provided by the Organiser. Signages will direct participants to the baggage storage zone located at Tamar Park, Central. To ensure safety, do not deposit valuable item(s), as the Organiser will not be liable for any loss or damage to personal property. By using the baggage storage service, participants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
- After completing the race, participants should retrieve their belongings from the baggage storage area promptly.
- The baggage storage service will cease operations 15 minutes prior to the start of the race.
- In support of environmental sustainability, participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles.
Adverse Weather Arrangements
- In the event that the Hong Kong Observatory issues a Typhoon Signal No. 3 or above, or a Red or Black Rainstorm Warning on the day of event, the event will be automatically canceled, and no alternative date will be provided.
- Should adverse weather conditions or any of the above warnings arise during the race, the Race Director reserves the right to alter the race schedule or terminate the event. Registration fees will not be refunded under such circumstances.
- Participants are advised to contact the Hong Kong Observatory (Hotline: 1878200) on the morning of the event for the latest weather updates.
- The Organiser reserves the right to amend and interpret the above rules.
Health and Safety Guidelines
- Participants are required to ensure that their physical condition is suitable for participation in the event. If there is any doubt regarding their fitness, participants are strongly advised to seek medical consultation prior to the event.
- Participants must fully comprehend the nature of the event and the physical demands it entails. Before participating, they must ensure that their health is adequate for the activity. The Organiser strongly recommends that all participants monitor their physical well-being during the event and assess whether they are fit to continue. Should any discomfort arise during the event, participants must immediately cease participation and seek assistance from event personnel.
- Participants are advised to take appropriate measures to protect themselves from sun exposure, including the use of sunscreen, wearing a hat, and staying hydrated by drinking water.
- Individuals who are pregnant or have chronic conditions such as heart disease or hypertension should refrain from participating in the event.
- The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant who, in the Organiser's judgment, is deemed unfit or unsuitable to participate in the event due to health concerns, whether known or suspected.
- Participants must acknowledge and accept full responsibility for all risks associated with their participation in the event. The Organiser will provide General Public Liability Insurance and Group Personal Accident Insurance for the event. Participants are encouraged to arrange for additional personal accident and health insurance if deemed necessary.
Others
- All gifts are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- The Organiser reserves the right to use images (videos/photos), audio (film recordings, sound recordings, or any other form) from the event for future promotional purposes.
- In the event of any dispute regarding the race results, the decision of the race officials on the day of the event shall be final.
- Race results will be based on the official time recorded by the Organiser.
- Award winners must collect their prizes within 1 month after the event. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the prize.
- The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any person from and nullify his / her result of the Event and further to forbid and prohibit such person from participating in future events organised by the Organiser if a participant is found by the Organiser to have violated or committed (as the case may be) any of the following Official Rules:
i. Engaging in or attempting to engage in any action that violates the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), including the Hong Kong National Security Law, at any time during the event or in any venue or area related to the event.
ii. Engaging in or attempting to conduct any form of protest, political, religious, or racial propaganda at any time during the event or in any venue or area related to the event.
The organiser reserves the right to the final interpretation and amendment of the above rules. Any temporary changes or cancellations related to the event will be announced on the official event website.
